We simulate the loading and phase structure of galactic outflows driven by supernova feedback in a tall-box domain. The simulations are run with the Quokka radiation-hydrodynamics code, varying the gas surface density, resolution, and metallicity.
Each animation shows three quantities: gas surface density (Σ), hot-phase gas flux surface density (Σhot, T > 106 K), and cool-phase gas flux surface density (Σcool, T < 2 · 104 K).
